I can’t believe it we had a car from bristol airport to stanstead after we missed a plane, in the car for three hours and dropped off no incident. We get £470 taken off our credit card and they say that we smashed the windscreen – which I think we would have noticed??? How do you fight these professional muggers???

Same happened to me at Girona Airport. Hertz said I damaged the car but documentation said it was already damaged. Then Hertz changed [thankfully obviously] the area of alleged damage on their documentation. MBNA backed me up and said Hertz claim dismissed. Now Hertz have sent me an invoice with a demand for payment!!

And you’d think that you wouldn’t have to tell the clergy not to sexually abuse children. The concept of “church” isn’t quite what it was and you have to wonder who cast the first stone…or tossed the first coin.

Agreed. I wouldn’t be surprised if some people didn’t know what it was. Assuming they know they’re in a church, though, I don’t understand why they would throw coins in it.

Actually, it’s easy for me to imagine that people who don’t share the faith would not know what a baptismal font is. I’m kind of more horrified that they have to tell people to silence their phones!

We just had our Citi account closed for the 4th time in 3 years – they are issuing a new card. Something is dreadfully wrong with Citi’s system that allows this constant hacking. We also have an American Express that we have used all over the world with no problems. The issue appears to be on line transactions. Have no clue what is going on but I will no longer use my MC for on line purchases.
