JetBlue will begin nonstop flights Nov. 17 between Bradley International Airport and two destinations in Florida: Orlando and Fort Lauderdale.
Introductory fares of $69 each way are being offered to both destinations, but only for flights between Nov. 30 and Dec. 15, Friday and Sundays excluded. So, really, the $69 fare is available only on 12 possible travel days, total.
It’s a good deal, but extremely limited. Plus, the $69 fares must be purchased way in advance — by April 30. And when taxes and fees are added, the total comes to $159 round trip.
There do seem to be a few seats available outside the sale period at $89 each way. That’s still a nice deal, especially when you consider that JetBlue lets you check a bag at no additional cost.
The JetBlue Web site suggests that it’s possible to connect from Hartford through the Florida airports to several other destinations. The reservations system did not necessarily agree, however. Tonight it will let me book through to Bogota and San Juan, but not to Cancun or Costa Rica.
