Hotel Rooms Discounted At Foxwoods Casino
| September 2nd, 2009 No commentsHotel rooms at the Foxwoods casino in southeastern Connecticut have always been a bit pricey, but there are some deep discounts in September.
Rooms at the Two Trees Inn are now available at $59 a night, Monday through Thursday, during September, via a TravelZoo special. (The inn is not on the casino property but is accessible by shuttle bus.) Reservations must be made by Sept. 9.
The same days are available at $69 and $77 if booking directly from the casino’s reservation system online, without using the TravelZoo link. TravelZoo lists the hote’s rack rate at $299. I didn’t see any weekday price nearly that high on the reservations calendar, although some weekend nights were higher.
Booking directly on the site yields weeknight prices as low as $119 for the casino’s other, on-site hotels. (Interestingly enough, it takes a little messing with the calendar to show the lower rates for the Two Trees Inn.)
Foxwoods is having some financial difficulties and is looking to restructure its debt, as the New York Times reported last week.
By the way, I couldn’t find anything lower than $209 at the nearby Mohegan Sun casino’s hotel.
