Cruise Ship Hit Whale
| February 4th, 2009 1 commentMissed this weird one last week: Royal Caribbean’s Radiance of the Seas arrived at Puerto Montt, Chile, with the carcass of whale caught in the prow. (Thanks, Cruise Junkie.)
El Mercurio in Chile reports (in Spanish, of course) that the 12-meter (39-foot) whale was so decomposed that it was impossible to tell whether it was alive when the ship hit it. A fishing vessel dumped the remains at sea.
The paper reported that the passengers didn’t know about the incident. Not so, according to the passenger who posted this photo.
