A row of seats broke loose Sunday on a United Air Lines 737 on takeoff from Seattle. The seats and slid into the passengers in the next row, slightly injuring one of them.
“Well clearly it’s their own fault..” quipped a contributer to a FlyerTalk thread on the subject, “the passengers in that row refused to pay the seat anchoring fee..they got what they deserved.”
The jet was bound for San Francisco. Oddly enough, another San Francisco-bound United jet was forced to make an emergency landing on Sunday. A United 777 returned to Beijing after the crew noticed a problem with the landing gear.
Coincidence? Or gremlins?
