The Courant’s Eric Gershon wrote recently that Gov. M. Jodi Rell has proposed a $100,000 study into whether the state Department of Transportation ought to relinquish control of Bradley International Airport in favor of an independent authority of some kind.
Most airports operate that way, and the governor wonders whether it’s time for a change.
The Courant opined on its editorial pages that it clearly is time, and wondered why anyone would bother with another study. Just do it, the editorial board suggested, not quite paraphrasing one of the Tribune Company’s newest slogans.
Visitors to courant.com seem to agree. Eighty-five percent of the people who participated in a non-scientific online survey support such a change.
