Skybus has just announced service to another Northeastern airport – Newburgh, N.Y., 55 miles north of New York City – and about 40 miles west of Danbury, Conn.
It’s all part of a very recent rapid expansion in the Northeast, including the establishment of a new "focus city" in Greensboro, N.C. (A focus city is sort of like a hub, but not so much.)
Starting Jan. 6, Skybus will fly twice a day between Newburgh and Greensboro and twice a day between Newburgh and its hub in Columbus, Ohio. Fares start, as always with Skybus, at $10 plus tax.
This is coupled with Skybus’ recent expansion at Chicopee, Mass. – another airport sort of convenient to Connecticut residents.
