I’ll tell you where to go … Midwest

United Airlines is offering some low round-trip fares to Detroit and Minneapolis / St. Paul. This unadvertised sale is unusual because these cities are not frequently discounted and because the fares extend well into next year.

The round-trip fare from Bradley to either city is $180, including taxes and fees. Connections are through Chicago.

The fare is technically available seven days a week, but of course it’s capacity controlled and so there are days when it’s not available at all. Poking around for reservations I saw pretty good availability midweek in the summer months. In the fall and afterward, there seems to be pretty good availability even on weekends.

There’s no telling, though, how long these fares will be available.  My bet would be not for long. I don’t see other airlines rushing to match them.

Here are the airport codes you need for this one:

Bradley: BDL

Detroit: DTW

Minneapolis: MSP
