I’ll tell you where to go … CHICAGO

Planning a trip to Chicago this summer, or even earlier? Some round-trip fares between Bradley and O’Hare are selling for about $140 round-trip for travel through Aug. 24.

That’s an unusually extended travel period for a fare sale. Usually you don’t get good fares more than three months out. Anyway, there’s no telling how long this price will be offered. So if you’re thinking of a trip to Chicago this summer, you probably ought to buy it sooner rather than later.

Delta is offering the fare every day on flights that connect through Cincinnati or Atlanta. USAir is offering it on a more limited basis, through May 16, mostly midweek and mostly on connections through Philadelphia.

This may have something to do with Delta’s expansion of flights between New York and Chicago, which begins Thursday. Or it may not not. It’s always hard to tell.

Here are the airport codes you need to search this one:

Bradley: BDL
O’Hare: ORD

Does it looks like some of those O’Hare fares are gone already, at least in late May?
Cleveland via USAir is coming in around $140 (fees/taxes included) through mid-May.

Sorry folks, but he’s right. Looks like this deal didn’t last long and is no longer available out of Bradley. There’s some availability in that price range on a few airlines out of Providence (PVD), though, if you fly to Midway (MDW) instead of O’Hare.
