If you want to get in some skiing out west, you can get to Reno / Tahoe out of Bradley for about $210 (taxes and fees included) round trip through May 10. But it won’t be easy to get that rock-bottom fare.
It’s at least technically available on several airlines but highly restricted, with only a few weekend flights and lots of blacked-out dates. I dug up, for example, a $211 three-leg trip on USAir on Tuesday, Feb. 27 from Bradley to Philadelphia to Las Vegas to Reno / Tahoe and back on Sunday, March 3 through Phoenix and Philadelphia. If you’re willing to spend $250 or so, you may be able to turn up a two-leg trip or better dates, but be prepared to spend some time at the keyboard.
And do it soon. There’s no telling how long these fares will be available.
If you’re willing to lay out the $250 and you don’t like to change planes, you can fly round-trip between Bradley and Denver on Frontier. (Frontier’s introductory $99 – plus fees etc. – round trip fares from Hartford have expired. But $250 is still a good deal.) Lots of skiing around there, too.
